We used ES&S optical scanning machines in Flathead County, and this wasn't reported to any of the voting technology watchdogs-by the time I regained enough equalibrium to do it I couldn't locate the link on the web, but this is from 'Editors 2 cents'

Around Flathead County, the election of 2004 will hopefully go down in the history books as the all time slowest for producing results. We certainly don't want to wish this kind of torpor on any future generation.
You've probably read about how the software the county had bought for operating the scanning machines had been incorrectly programmed and had to be replaced after midnight.
