Here is what it all comes down to: A top Presidential advisor has admitted revealing to a reporter the identity of a CIA agent.
And that advisor is still in the White House. Bush hasn't done anything about it.
So it's time for the focus to shift to Bush.
The President won't fire an aide who revealed the identity of a CIA agent. And that President is still in the White House.

He said he would fire someone who was shown to have violated the law. That is still far from being proven; and most likely there is nothing there, since Joe Wilson has admitted that Valerie stopped being a overseas covert agent in 1997, which more than meets the five year limit.

Of course Rove's still in the W-H...
Bush & co understand that by not responding to a scandal, it will soon go away.
re. the Downing Street Minutes: no response, ergo no longer an issue.
The W-House will just hunker down and in a week or so, this little Rove/Plame leak problem will disappear...just like the DSM problem did.
Thank you MSM for not boring us for too long with the same ol' story.

If Bush continues to behave in his usual way, Rove will probably get a promotion. Don't forget, no one was held responsible for allowing 9/11 to happen and many of those involved were promoted. This has been the case all during Bush's terms of office so I must assume that they did the job that Bush wanted done. This would nean that Bush wanted to enter a war with Iraq, Bush wanted 9/11 to happen in order to give him an excuse (rather a stretch but the news media helped him with this), Bush wants to be the biggest and baddest terrorist in the world and Bush wants people to know that if they don't play by his rules then their lives as well as the lives of their families are at risk.

ah come on Dave, no one is going to give a fuck about this (in the sense of doing something about it)"outside a small circle of friends". And blogs like yours.
You are gonna have to start drafting their kids if you want to get America's attention. And even then I'm not so sure...so long as the tax cuts keep flowing.

'djGreen', you are spot-on: 'Bush & Co understand that by not responding to a scandal, it will soon go away.' With the MSM firmly in the Republicans' pockets, scandals do indeed go away.
