It's interesting to make note of who God does smite. He seems to have been pretty heavily after the Boy Scouts lately, considering the four deaths by lightning and several hundred kids smitten by the heat waiting for Bush to appear to cheer them on. Plus at least one other smite by lightning of another counselor at another Boy Scout camp. Hard to understand why he hasn't smitten Fred Phelps yet, but God works in mysterious ways.
