End of an era

Western Union Stops Sending Telegrams

I've never sent a telegram in my life, nor received one, to my knowledge... but I still think this is worth noting.

Good grief! I'll say that's the end of an era! I did get a few telegrams, usually about the births of babies, but I don't think I ever sent one.

I actually sent and received a few telegrams - and I agree with MJ: 'the end of an era'!

Guess it's one of those, darn, now I can't things.Don't know what you got till it's gone.Communication is so taken for granted now. Personaly,I kinda miss the good old days.It was somewhat more difficult to do the communicating but...it was apreciated...for what it was worth.
The only thing I ever sent via a telegram was money...and I shouldn't have.
