It's The Food - Not The People

-- by Dave Johnson

Severely Obese Are Fastest Growing Segment of Overweight Americans

The proportion of severely obese Americans -- those with a body mass index of 40 or more -- increased by 50 percent from 2000 to 2005, twice as fast as the increase in moderate obesity, a new study finds.

... A typical severely obese man weighs 300 pounds at a height of 5 feet 10 inches, while a typical severely obese woman weighs 250 pounds at a height of 5 feet 4 inches.

When EVERYONE is suddenly gaining weight since 2000 we have to look at why. EVERYone doesn't just become irresponsible at the same time. Is it marketing? Is it additives? Is it formulations?

Is it a reaction to the stress of life in a Bush America - loss of health care, loss of pensions, fear of job loss, massive debt, etc...?

WHY are so many of us becoming obese and "severely obese" at the same time?

I don't know about the rest of you slobs, but in my case I'm a 300+ pound porker because I hate exercise and love food.
