Walter Cronkite Calls For Troops Out!

Yesterday, Mr. Cronkite and David Krieger, President of the Nuclear Age Peace Foundation, published a joint statement at CommonDreams.org, calling for the removal of US troops and bases, turning over all responsibilities to the Iraqi people, and agreeing to help rebuild a ravaged Iraq. An excerpt from their statement:Go readThe invasion of Iraq was illegal from the start. Not only was Congress lied to in order to secure its support for the invasion of Iraq, but the war lacked the support of the United Nations Security Council and thus was an aggressive war initiated on the false pretenses of weapons of mass destruction.
